Partnering with parents to teach kids about Jesus.
Birth – 6th Grade
Welcome to Xtreme Kidz, the Children’s Ministry of Bethesda Community Church! We count it a blessing to care for and minister to your child. We are committed to providing a safe and caring environment in each classroom. Children, even babies, are never too young to have the Word of God spoken over them. Through age-appropriate teaching, crafts, exciting worship and games, we desire that children get introduced to Jesus, learn how to hear His voice and how to follow His steps. Matthew 22:37 states, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” With this verse as their motto, children can take a stand for Christ even when others don’t. They can live a life of extreme faith for Jesus!
Children's Ministry/Childcare is offered each week during the Sunday morning service and the Wednesday evening service. Childcare for birth-kindergarten is offered during the Sunday evening prayer service.
We also have a Wiggle Room for families who don’t wish to place their children in our Preschool Ministries classrooms just yet. The Wiggle Room, across from the North Sanctuary doors in Room 33, is reserved so parents can still enjoy the service with audio and video feed, while personally taking care of their children in a more private environment.
We want to partner with parents, other caring adults, and teens to encourage our children to seek a growing, loving relationship with Jesus Christ. The parents of preschool aged children are encouraged to serve on a rotation basis. We depend on our parent volunteers to assist us in making a difference in the lives of our children. Check out all of our volunteer opportunities.
"Bethesda Community Church takes child protection seriously. Therefore, all church employees and kids' volunteers have been trained by MinistrySafe, a 5-Part Safety System. This system includes Awareness Training, Skillful Screening, Policies and Procedures, Background Checks, and Monitoring and Oversight. These overlapping layers of protection aid us in ensuring no situation is overlooked." - Pastor Brenda Hardeman
