Based on the Acts 2 model of the church, we believe strongly in serving those in need. Bethesda Cares is an effort to be Christ's hand extended in practical, tangible ways to those of our church and community who stand at a unique point of need. Everyone can take part of this compassion ministry!
Some of our volunteer opportunities include:
Bless Someone Saturday
One Saturday each quarter, Bethesda families are blessed as we take care of yard work, light construction, and clean-up around and in the house.
David E. Smith & W.T. Francisco Elementary Schools
Participate in activities to touch the lives of the children along with involvement in reading & listening programs.
The nursing home ministry blesses the residents of local homes through games, snacks and fellowship.
Community Outreach Events
Large events that include David E. Smith Elementary Fall Carnival and Spring Picnic; Thanksgiving Basket (meals provided to those in need); City events.
After events occur, the team contacts those that were helped by praying with them, asking how they are and inviting them to church.
Volunteers agree to pray regularly for volunteers and projects.
